Massage Guidelines

Each massage therapy session is conducted in a professional, therapeutic manner, geared at meeting the goals of each client.

Christie Allen is a Nationally Certified Massage and Bodywork Therapist that upholds a professional and ethical standard in the community.

For the protection of the client and therapist, any type of sexual suggestion, solicitation or anything of an illegal nature will not be tolerated.

If such activity occurs, the session will be terminated, payment will be collected in full, and future treatments will cease.

A short intake form will be filled out prior to your session. Your signature will be required to authorize treatment.

Office Hours

I am currently in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, beginning at 10:30am. I am also in the office on Saturday (times vary).

I am not in the office on Monday, Friday or Sunday

Appointments

I am requesting that if you know when you want to schedule your next appointment, please let me know as soon as possible.

Each week is filling up on the previous week pretty fast, so the sooner I know, the better.

A 24-hour notice is required when scheduling your appointments (or more if possible). I want to make sure that I can honor your requested days and times.

I have a limit of 4 massages per day, so I will do my VERY best to accommodate days and times, even if I have to stay a bit late.

Same day appointments are difficult and nearly impossible to honor

Massage sessions are by appointment only.

If you are a first time client please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to handle any paperwork.

Gift Certificates

If you know you are going to need a gift certificate from me, just drop me a voice mail or send an email. I am a very organized individual, so I will do my best to have that prepared and ready for you at your session time.

At least a 24-hour notice is preferred. I will not seal them, nor will I write “From”, allowing you to personalize your individual gift. I will validate them for you, with expiration date and number of the GC, but advance notice will get you what you need in an expedited fashion.

Gift Certificates have a one year expiration date from the date of purchase and will not be replaced if lost or stolen. I have noticed that some are waiting till the very end of the expiration date and even asking for extensions once the gift certificate expires. I would like to refrain from extending the expiration date. They expire one year from purchase, leaving ample time for redemption.

Cancellation Policy

A 24-hour notice of cancellation for your massage is requested. I understand if things come up last minute. Working for myself, not having another therapist with me, I can completely relate. Please CALL me if you need to cancel/reschedule. I do not have online access in the office.

If you have a package and no shows/no calls occur, I will deduct sessions off of your packages.

Please try to call in advance if something comes up and you need to cancel. I will work with you and certainly am very understanding.

So far, all of my clients are considerate and show up on time or call if delayed, which is all that I ask for.

Late Arrivals

I try hard to not book sessions back to back, but getting busy, I sometimes do have back to back appointments.

As most of you know, I do not start your session time till I start the massage, and OF COURSE, giving your full session time, 60 or 90, per my philosophy statement.

If you are late, it is not fair to the person that has an appointment behind you and it is hard to explain that to them, especially if they are on time for their appointment.

Please be aware that late arrivals will not receive an extension of scheduled appointment times and will be responsible for full session fees or package redemption.

Massage Package Purchases/Gift Certificates vs. Packages

Packages are offered to my clients to give an even greater discount than the $50.00 one hour and $75.00 one hour and a half, which are already 15 to 25 dollars, lower than my neighbors and fellow spas.

All Packages are PER PERSON – ONE PERSON

Packages are not to be used for separate clients and NOT subject to be SHARED or for TRANSFER

Gift certificates are NOT to be used in packages; (5 separate massages for 5 separate clients)

You MAY, however, purchase a Gift Certificate for a massage package as a gift, but it is a package for ONE client, not multiple clients.

At the time of purchase of a package for another person, the client’s name is recorded for bookkeeping.

If you wish to purchase gift certificates for multiple people, the gift certificates are sold at FACE value

If you purchase an individual massage, the face value is due at time of checkout.

A package has to be purchased in order to receive the special rate

I cannot, unfortunately, give the special rate on individual sessions.

Spa “Voices”

We have experienced growth in our private establishment, which has been so exciting!!

If there are others in the practice at the time of session, we may need to lower our voices a bit.

I will inform you at the time of arrival if there are other sessions going on.

We want to remain private, but need to respect other therapists and their clients as they receive services in the spa.
